Our Board of Directors lead the direction of the Credit Union ensuring that the Credit Union remains focused on serving our members and meeting the needs of the communities we serve.
Eligibility is Simple!
To be eligible to serve on the Board of Directors, a member must:
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be a current member of USPS FCU.
• Not have been convicted of a crime involving dishonesty or breach of trust.
The Nominating Committee may consider additional factors in evaluating and recommending candidates, including financial and criminal background checks, not having caused a loss to the credit union, length of membership, prior service, and relevant experience. These considerations guide the Committee’s selection of nominees but do not prevent an eligible member from seeking election by petition in accordance with the bylaws. The time commitment:
The Board of Directors meets, at minimum, once time per month. Meetings are hosted virtually, typically last two hours, and occur on the last Wednesday of the month at 4:15pm EST. Some training is required, and is provided at no cost.

Your statement should include your name, current contact information, how long you’ve been a member, and brief statement telling us about your professional experience and why you would like to join the Board of Directors. Interested members meeting eligibility requirements will be contacted by Credit Union staff.
Additional Skills & Abilitiies
- Ability to access a computer or smartphone to evaluate USPS FCU services.
- Experience with banking online or in USPS FCU branch locations.
- Experience using a variety of USPS FCU products and services.
