Join the Supervisory Committee

The Supervisory Committee ensures that Credit Union operates within the guidelines of our governing body, NCUA.  They ensure that the Credit Union operates legally and ethically.

Eligibility is Simple!

To be eligible to serve on the Board of Directors/Supervisory Committee, a member must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be a current member of USPS FCU.
  • Not have been convicted of a crime involving dishonesty or breach of trust.

The Nominating Committee may consider additional factors in evaluating and recommending candidates, including financial responsibility, overall account standing, length of membership, prior service, and relevant experience. These considerations guide the Committee’s selection of nominees but do not prevent an eligible member from seeking election by petition in accordance with the bylaws.

The time commitment will not Interfere with your busy schedule.

The Supervisory Committee meets, at minimum, once time per month, hosted virtually, and typically last two hours.  Some training is required, and is provided at no cost.

Your statement should include your name, current contact information, how long you’ve been a member, and brief statement telling us about your professional experience and why you would like to join the Board of Directors.  Interested members meeting eligibility requirements will be contacted by Credit Union staff.

Additional Skills & Abilitiies

  • Ability to access a computer or smartphone to evaluate USPS FCU services.
  • Experience with banking online or in USPS FCU branch locations.
  • Experience using a variety of USPS FCU products and services.
