As we commemorate our 90th anniversary, we reflect with pride on our journey as the only nationally chartered credit union available to all United States Postal Service employees across the United States as well as surrounding territories and islands. Recognizing the dire need for reliable financial services among postal employees, a group of visionary postal workers and union representatives came together to create a financial institution that would cater specifically to their community. Their mission was simple yet profound: to provide affordable financial products and services, promote thrift, and offer a source of credit for prudent and productive purposes.Over the decades, we have grown from a small, local operation based out of the Washington, DC Metropolitan area into a robust, nationwide institution. Our credit union, which uniquely allows us to serve postal employees from coast to coast and in surrounding islands, has enabled us to build a diverse and inclusive membership base. This national reach ensures that postal employees, whether they work in bustling urban centers or remote rural areas, have access to the financial resources they need to thrive.

Some of our recent feats in this field include our roll out of Online Account Opening for new and current members, Apple and & Android Pay as well as constant improvements to our mobile banking app. Digital wallet capabilities and app integrations have also been implemented for our debit and credit card.

Our expansion of online and mobile banking services is a direct response to the changing needs of our members. With features like remote deposit capture, mobile check deposits, and an extensive network of surcharge free “Allpoint” ATMs, we are making it easier than ever for postal employees to manage their finances on the go. Additionally, our financial education programs through GreenPath continue to evolve, offering webinars, workshops, and personalized counseling to help members make informed financial decisions.
