Annual Percentage Rates (APRs) for Check or Balance Transfer Transactions 2.99% Promotional APR through September 2025 billing statement period. After your September 2025 billing statement period you will be charged the regular APR for cash transactions. This APR will vary with the market based on the Prime Rate. If you choose to transfer balances you must do so by September 30, 2025 for the promotional APR to apply. For any transfers completed after that date, we may still honor the transaction but you will not receive the promotional APR. Instead, the standard APR for Cash Advances will apply.

Fee 2% of the amount of each balance transfer or convenience check transaction.
Paying Interest: We will begin charging interest on the transaction date.

Important information regarding this offer:

1. APR = Annual Percentage Rate. Promotional APR is valid only for balance transfers from other credit card companies, financial institutions, or department store credit cards and purchases made with the provided convenience checks. Promotional APR will not apply to checks made payable to you, cash, or to make payments on any obligation you have with USPS FCU Credit Union. You should not use the check(s) to transfer the amount of any disputed purchase or charge, as you may lose your rights to dispute that purchase or charge. You must continue to make your required monthly payments to the issuer/merchant until you receive a statement from the issuer/merchant reflecting the balance transfer payment. USPS FCU will not be responsible for any finance charges or late fees you incur on your other account as a result of a balance transfer request. We will not close your other accounts, even if you transfer the entire balance -please contact other creditors directly. Balance transfer requests may not exceed your available credit at the time we receive your request. Your accounts at USPS FCU must be in good standing at the time the balance transfer offer is processed. Please refer to USPS FCU Product Card Agreement and Federal Truth- In-Lending Disclosure Statement for additional information. Rewards points are not earned on any use of convenience checks or balance transfers. Any convenience check(s) processed after the promotional period will incur finance charges at the standard Balance Transfer rate. The promotional APR will remain in effect through your September 2026 credit card statement cycle. Convenience checks must be presented for payment by September 30, 2025 in order to obtain the promotional APR.

2. Each convenience check used to conduct a balance transfer or a purchase will be treated as a cash advance as described in your Credit Card Agreement and will begin to accrue finance charges from the date of the transaction. If you have not activated your credit card, please call 866-606-2518 to do so prior to using any convenience checks. Like any check, these convenience checks are negotiable and should be destroyed (shredded) if you do not plan to use them. You may choose not to receive USPS FCU convenience checks in the future by calling us at: (301) 856-5000 (local MD, DC, VA area) or toll free at: (800) USPS-FCU (877-7328). Please note, certain merchants may inform you of their intent to convert your Convenience Check payment to an electronic ACH debit. For mailed payments, this notification will be provided at the time you receive a bill. For payments made in person, this notification will be provided at the time payment is made. You understand and agree that Convenience Checks are ineligible for conversion to an ACH debit and if presented by a merchant to us for payment, we are required to reject and return the entry. Using Convenience Checks for payments to merchants who have notified you of their intent to convert your check to an ACH debit may result in merchant returned item fees and/or late charges. You further understand and agree that you may not attempt to authorize a one-time advance from your account via ACH by providing check information (such as the routing, account, and serial numbers) to a merchant or other payee in person, via the Internet or by telephone for the purpose of having such merchant or other payee electronically initiate a funds transfer. The Credit Union will not be liable for any fees you incur as a result of the Credit Union’s failure to honor a Convenience Check that is converted to an ACH debit.
